Wow, what a month!
It's been a while, so I figure it's time for a journal update
Big let-down of the month is that I didn't make the "Artists at the Ready!" OC tournament.
My audition was only half-uploaded when I sent my note of entry (at the absolute last minute) before the deadline, so no surprise that my entry wasn't considered xP
I'm over it. Really. *sniff* :'(
Anyway, in other news, that little blue bird of the interwebz has finally seduced me...
Twitter is actually pretty neat!
I used to think it was a place for people to vent their egos, but it really isn't.
At least, I dont think it is D:

Besides this virtualz stuff, alot's changed around me IRL.
Maybe I've said this before but [me + unexpected-change = freakout]
Despite that, I feel like I'm handling life a little better than before.
A friend of mine gave me some great advice (which will sound cheesy):
You have to find something inside to hold on to, because even if everything around you gets taken away, you'll still have that.
For me it's art. Ya ya ya ok, end cheese >.<
Speaking of art, I enjoyed the AatR comic so much that I really want to do another comic as soon as possible.
If I cant figure out a short story to draw, maybe it'll be a follow-up to the AatR audition.
The narutoverse comic I was/am planning is dormant at the moment, but I hope to get back to that too.
I'll leave it at that - until next journal update.
P.S. I watched Transformers last night for the first time, and it's definitely the most fun movie I've seen in ages. Bring on "Revenge of the Fallen"!

It also seems both of us didn't make it in the end into AatR ... but i indeed did learn few new things from that too
As for wanting to make more comics ... how about you join SDL and we have a duel (we can set the deadline date and the rules for our own duel as well)
And regarding my part of the art trade .. now that i didn't get into AatR i will surely have more time to work on it

Honestly, it was actually quite a relief for me not to have made it in.
Speaking of trades, the Devious Vacations idea sounds like fun - we should do an art trade with it.
SDL, maybe. The whole system of SDL has me a little confused, but I'll try and read up on it.

But it all boils down to creating an OC (or a version of an existing one) that fits into almost realistic 1500 A.D japan setting ... after that you can ... either challenge other artists to duels at you own pace (you just need to inform the SDL people about the duel and its details so they put it in their list and judge it accordingly depending on the deadline you chose) .. or you can join SDL tournaments and contests that pop up from time to time (quite similar to normal OC tournaments) .. it's really lots of fun.
